Exceed was thrilled to receive the Excellence in Community Contribution Award at the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards held in Auckland on November 12th.
The Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards gather, recognise and celebrate Franchise Businesses all across New Zealand. With over 630 franchise systems in the country, winning an award at this prestigious event is not an easy task.

Exceed has always been heavily involved in charity and sponsorship throughout New Zealand. A lot of our Franchisees’ are usually involved in their local communities through different community initiatives. However what caught the judges attention and secured this award for the Exceed Team was the Franchise Group initiative and contribution to The Heart Box NZ Charitable Trust.
"Their AED programme and training is terrific, and a definite example of going above and beyond the call of duty. Their entry shows that the charitable contribution in all areas is a big motivator for the whole group, and they appear very passionate and committed … a great example of helping in the community and a very compelling submission" - said the Westpac NZ Franchise Awards judges.
Exceed initiated the set up of the "The Heart Box NZ Charitable Trust" back in 2019. During our Franchise Annual Conference, as a group we decided that we wanted to put together something bigger than us.
With a lot of our Service Technicians being mobile and on the road, we saw an opportunity for them to be equipped with an AED (defibrillator) on-board. We also saw the need for more AED units to be available 24/7 in public areas.
With the backing of our whole team we incorporated the charity known today as The Heart Box NZ Charitable Trust with one vision...… To support St John to have an AED Defibrillator within 4 minutes of every New Zealander.
